Working predominantly in oils, West Sussex based artist, Sheri Gee finds inspiration in the world around her – from commuting, bringing up a family and living in Sussex – all influencing her work.
Her subjects range from local landscapes and plein air paintings, still life and figurative work, which is where her heart lies. Gee's biggest passion is to paint the figure and portraits, having honed her skills at life drawing sessions, for over a decade.
Regardless of subject matter, her aim is to capture fleeting moments in perpetuity.
Sheri was one of 21 finalists in the 2018 Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize and shortlisted in 2022; she and has exhibited with the Chelsea Art Society, and the Society of Women Artists at the Mall Galleries, London, and has been longlisted in the Jackson's Art Open Prize.
